Won't recognize any wifi connections

I have a bit of an issue regarding my laptop's connection to wifi. Basically whenever I try connecting it to a wireless connection, nothing shows up. However, it does connect via wire with no problem whatsoever. I highly doubt the router is the issue, as my other PC connects to the wireless.

I've read a bunch of threads about said issue, of win 7 not recognizing the wifi and I've tried out most of them, from updating my router's driver to reinstalling my wireless adapter's driver and whatnot, but I'm out of options here.

Would really appreciate help, thanks in advance.

my other PC connects to the wireless.

I would think that the router is working OK. I would work on the wireless adapter. I have had to clean my registry of multiple wireless entries. Every time the wireless adapter crashes and you reinstall, it adds a new installation in the registry. Google "RegSeeker", it does a very good job of finding Registry entries and makes removing them easy. It also backs up before deleting anything.

Be sure and use the latest drivers and they are OK with W7.

I've tried updating the wireless adapter's driver, Windows said it's all up to date and whatnot. Went on my laptop's manufacturer website and downloaded the driver for the mini-card, it's compatible with my Windows and I re-installed it just to be sure it was really up to date.
Same with my router's driver, I updated it as well, even though the router truly does not seem to be the problem.

I don't exactly get why this issue has appeared now. I've had the laptop for around three years now and never had an issue regarding wireless connection.

And I tried the RegSeeker, but it still doesn't work.
Thanks for the advice however, very much appreciated.

Maybe try uninstalling which ever third party anti virus software you are running, any previously installed trial versions of A/V software will also cause endless problems unless they are uninstalled using the special tool.

I've installed the OS this morning, so there isn't anything but the antivirus I'm currently using - which I'm about to uninstall following your advice. However, I tried checking out if it recognized the wifi's before installing anything in the computer and then with only reinstalling the adapter, and it didn't work either...
