Word 2000 works on one pc but not the other

Any ideas what would cause this. I have 2 identical windows 7 pc's that I just setup. They are both running windows 7 pro x64. I installed office 2000 small business with sp1. One one machine word and excel will launch just fine. On the other machine, excel will launch but word hangs. I tried starting word in compatibility mode and as an administrator. That didn't work. I lauched it from the run command using the /a and it would start. I looked and there are no startup macros that run. I don't see why it would be fine on one but not the other since they are identical machines with the same config.

May be a conflict, a clean boot will help determine if this is the cause
