"Workgroup" Errors A-Plenty - need instruction

Friends I have two repetitive errors routinely showing up in my System Event log.
I believe these to be Win7 networking policy errors in that it does not deal with a missing workgroup member correctly, but I could be wrong, obviously

here's one:

These two errors repeat routinely.
These errors are in the log of the sub-tending member of the workgroup. The 'senior' machine is offline much of the time [windows 7 ultimate x64 on a desktop. the second system from which I am copying these errors is windows 7 Home Premium x64].

The LAN these operate on is run by a pair of bridged [via wifi] routers, thus common AP, the senior system is wired, the 'junior' is wireless. there are other devices on the network: handsets and windows xp systems etc, but only the two win7 members of the workgroup, and each is marked to share files with the other.

all help appreciated

8020 is a master browser error, but 7036 is just an informational message. You get 7036 in your logs because Windows is looking to see if there's a proxy being used. There's nothing wrong with that, but if you are not using a proxy, you can disable that service. That can also be a by-product of certain software applications.

8020 can be harder to troubleshoot. What kind of security software are you running?

I also get 4321's routinely.
security is lean: dd-wrt firewall on the routers, AVAST scanners on the pc's, windows firewall and nothing else [pc-wise - I do protect the browsers].
no MSE, no windefend. no zonealarm or other

I'm going to check the workstation and see if same errors are popping over there

OK, that was instructive. thought I would see same/similar on the workstation but nada. none of these errors on that one.
I think I have them both setup the same way... the idea was/is to leave a lot of the files needed on the desktop unit, share them with the mobile unit, and share media files both ways.
