No worries.... You'll have to type cmd from the run box then look up right click on cmd and choose run as Administrator. You'll see the black screen where you'll have to type ipconfig/all then press enter. The rest of the tutorial is in the link that I've provided you Post#2.

Any more questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Maybe try unzipping and then click on the file below, it will create a .txt file on your desktop which you can upload to here so 2XG can have a look.

In the first post you mentioned "Workgroup" then after that mentioned you can't rejoin the Homegroup?

These are two completely different methods of sharing so I'm wondering which one are you having a problem with?

WEll, onthe desktop, right c lick on Computer and under properties it shows Workgroup.

In Home group in control panel it says "this computer belongs to a home group".

there is an option to view and/or print the group password.

when I enter that password on the laptop to join the homegroup it is not successful

In this case you should leave the Homegroup on the other machine, then create a new Homegroup and rejoin from both machines. I'm not completely sure why you can't rejoin the old Homegroup but this usually fixes the problem.
