Hi,
I'm having some problems with Win7 always asking me if I want to format a "corrupted" drive (external hard drive) when i plug it in. The drive is not corrupted, it's just encrypted, so Windows sees it as corrupted and wants me to format it.

Here is the exact message I get:
"You need to format the disk in drive H: before you can use it.
Do you want to format it?"
Then I have to option of "Format disk" or "cancel"

Is there a way I can disable the windows disabling this feature?

Thanks for any help.

Depending on what version of 7 you have, you may be able to disable autoplay with the Group Policy Editor.

Thanks for the quick reply, but that didn't work. I changed the settings and rebooted but it made no difference. Any more ideas?
I'm running Win7 Ultimate x64 btw.
