I tend to fat finger the caps lock when going for the Shift key, look up to the screen, and see I've a whole line of uppercase characters. UGH !
Two solutions I researched:

1) Make your shift key turn off Caps Lock.-> Shift to Turn Off Caps
Did this on Win 7, works great. The article shows XP screen caps, however Win7 views are very close.

2) Disable the Caps Lock key -> disable-caps-lock-key-in-windows
(not tested by myself).
Enjoy !

I like #2 but my wife would break my fingers if I did that as she still uses it some times. Also, she is a touch typist so is looking at the screen while typing unlike us hunt and peck types who look at the keyboard.

Still like it though. Saved for future use.
