Hi,
I've installed my new X-FI Titanium (SB0880) and drivers from internet (directly from Creative and apply all updates), i have a new BSOD with "Page fault in non paged area", only in "Lord of the rings online".

My computer work fine in work env. (music, audio chat, webcam, ...)

  • Windows 7 premium x64
  • new self installed
  • hardware age : ~3 years (except the x-fi titanium, less than 1 month)
  • Os installation : maybe 3 weeks ago

If you have some ideas ... Thanks

Hello and welcome to Seven Forums!

Update the following drivers:
ASACPI.sys Mon Mar 28 15:30:36 2005

For ASACPI.sys,
The 2005 version of this driver is a known BSOD cause.
Please visit this link: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support- download_item_mkt
Scroll down to the Utilities category, then scroll down to the "ATK0110 driver for WindowsXP/Vista/Windows 7 32&64-bit " (it's about the 10th item down).
Download and install it.
Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers to check and make sure that the ASACPI.sys file is date stamped from 2009 or 2010 (NOT 2005).

There is a program called WinDBG that allows you to debug and analyze the BSOD Dump Files.
It may be a difficult procedure for beginners.

Unplug your computer. Remove your sound card. Blow the slot clean (even if it's new). Firmly reseat card.

Restart computer.

Flash bios: P5N-E SLI BIOS 1406

See if you can disable your Realtek audio onboard chip in the bios.

My card is the
Creative sound blaster x-fi titanium fatal1ty professional series

In the 4 years I've used the card , never had a problem until a few weeks ago.

I tried everything, including the latest drivers and even the PAX tweak drivers. Still get the BSOD.

I get the stop code 0X0000007E
and also ha20X22K.sys

Using the Creative autoupdater, after update complete, immediate BSOD. Frustrating.
I also downloaded the latest driver directly from Creative website.
Strange that the BSOD text says to make sure the drivers are up to date.

Would switching PCIe slot make a difference?
