Solved XBCD drivers for Xbox 360 gamepad

I followed the guide you wrote Zorlac BUT.... now in the setup uti it says: Xbox 360 Controller and the controllers goes all crazy...

Here's what I can choose between: Bildr.no

I tried the Trigger as split axes but it doesn't work.. When I try a game no buttons at all work. I also tried some other but still buttons don't work?

I also tried the XinputTest in the installation folder C:\Program Files (x86)\XBCD\x360ce

Here's what that looks like: Bildr.no

I have no buttons at all pressed.. And if I press some buttons they're on totally wrong place also :S like start is on the right axis stick etc...

Need some help :S

the Xbox tab is known/expected behavior. Its not 360 pad compatible currently.
What matters is the Windows Tab, and the behavior in the windows Calibration screen.

Ok so here's problem 2:

I've now configured it, and when I look at the overview in XinputTest (C:\Program Files (x86)\XBCD\x360ce)

If I press down LT on the screen RT goes to 0 and if I push RT, RT goes to 255... So 2 buttons works as one and not two seperate oO
and when I push the right stick (not move it around, push it down) the start button gets activated... and when I push down left stick the back button gets activated..

And if I press start/back button the right/left stick gets activated.. so they got switched places.. how do I fix that?

Kinda annoying when I played PES10 and accidently pushed down the left stick and I came to the start menu...

Yes, this is expected behavior when you haven't set the control to the Split Axis or X360ce profile and then calibrated the controller.
once calibrated the triggers consider the half axis to be full range, starting at 0 and ending at 255.

You can access the device calibration via Devices and Printers, Right click the controller and select game controller settings.

How do I put the x360ce thingy on? I see x360ce.ini in the installation folder of XCDB but I don't know how to put that on from the setup uti?

Okay, so now I picked the XBCD 360 Emu and calibrated everything... everything seems right and start/back button is on the right ones when I'm in the XinputTest

So I tried to play PES10 and I run fast on the back button and switch players on the start button so there they're still ****ed up. Before I installed XCDB start button was run fast and back button was switch player...

it must be an xinput only title

you must place the x360ce files (the xinput dll's and the cfg/ini file)into the games folder.

I have put everything right now, I tried The Saboteur and it worked flawless for the brief moment I tried it.
However then I was gonna try PES10 again, I went into the settings picked gamepad -> and you could choose btween directinput and XInput so I took XInput and all the controlls are correct BUT the game lags and the controlls are supersensitive... it's like when I press it once you get 3 press ingame, you see it easy when you're in the controllmenu and change buttons there... and probably the lagging is cause you get 3 picks on one so..

No clue why this is.. I tried directinput and picked right buttons but it was ****ed up ingame then ^^ anyone got a clue?

If you follow my instructions on post 7 on the first page, it should work flawlessly. The download link for 0.2.6 on the XBCD forums that I linked works fine. Using the default triggers on seperate axes profile works fine for me.

PES2010 doesnt really need XBCD. Most new games dont these days. The only reason I use it is for racing sims like rFactor, GTLegends, Race07 etc which work better with seperate trigger axes. Newer games with Xinput built in like NFS, PES2010 dont need XBCD (in fact XBCD cannot be used very well in Shift, rumble must be turned off in the setup util and you cant look around using the 2nd thumbstick). FIFA10 doesn't work at all with XBCD.

I have PES2010 and have never had any problems using XBCD out of the box. In fact PES2010 is the ONLY game I've found where you can use both XBCD and Xinput together in 2 player games.

If you play older games without Xinput or they dont fully use all buttons or triggers, you need XBCD. But if you're playing newer games like GTA4, PES2010, Shift etc, you dont need XBCD. Stick with the default drivers.

if you play both, use XBCD with x360ce xD.
Now remember guys, if a controller doesn't appear to work in xbcd, it makes it easier on us both, if you post the pid/vid straight up without me having to ask.

Absolute crap!

The software has a trojan within it and doesn't work anyway.
When you uninstall your left with annoying text on your desktop which won't go away!

I should have read between the lines when this post stated "it should be safe..."

Avoid at all costs!

That text has nothing to do with XBCD itself. Its because you set windows into test mode with NGO's DSEO. Before going off on a rant, you could atleast know exactly what your ranting about first.

Secondly, of the thousand+ people using xbcd, your the only one to whine about a "Trojan".

Before you make your next post, and fall further into shame, I suggest learning
A. How to use a computer.
B. What a trojan is and how it works.

At some point, i would like to see the setup utility ported to a manifested executable which prompts for elevation on run. the usage of rundll makes it tricky for newbs who skip past info panes in the installer.

Now for anyone else that, like the above user, believes they are above reading the description panels in an installer.

This is a Driver for Xbox and Xbox360 controls to provide proper DirectInput functionality, including Trigger remapping and ForceFeedback.

Installation and Usage Notes:
If you are installing this on Vista / Windows 7 x64, please exit setup and start it again using the RunAs Admin item in the right click menu, This is required for the driver to get write access to the registry, and System32 folder.
On Vista/Windows 7 with UAC enabled, you must run the Setup Utility in this same manner (Run as Admin) for it to be able to read and write values to the registry.

On Vista (x32 and x64) SP1, changes have been made which prevent unsigned drivers from loading, to work around this get Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider 1.3b from

http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=dseo

You must also change the Advanced system settings to allow unsigned (inf signature) drivers to be installed.

Vista and Seven also require manual installation of the driver, a guide is available at http://xbcd360guide.50webs.com/guide.html (skip step 2 obviously)

XBCD also now contains an Xinput emulator including a predefined config, to make use of it, set XBCD to the Triggers on seperate axis profile or XBCD 360 emu profile in the XBCD Setup app, Read the Xinput emulators read me for information on how to use it there is a Shortcut to the emulator in the XBCD Program Folder in start menu.

I have 2 Xbox 360 gamepads. One uses XBCD for my older games, and the other uses the default drivers that W7 has. Both work flawlessly. If I wanna play GTA4, FIFA10 or NFS Shift I just plug in my other gamepad and use the default drivers. Works great. No conflicts with XBCD whatsoever. Although I suppose if you only have 1 gamepad and need both XBCD drivers and Xinput, x360ce is the way to go.

the xbox tab is broken when it comes to button lights, you can still config the buttons on that screen though.

as for COD6. Its an Xinput game afaik. xbcd won't directly work for it unless you configure the x360ce correctly.
