Xbox 360 and Windows 7 Media Center

I've searched all over for a solution to my problem, but I still can't fix it. My PC nor 360 will find each other on my network. I have a linsys wrt45g, my lappy is connected wireless and my 360 is wired to the router.

Jamey- This may or may not help. I had a similar problem a couple months back. All my extenders worked fine. All was good. Then my new Cisco/Linksys WRT 610N router went bad. I still had my WRT54G in the closet so I put it in the place of the dead router. MC could no longer find my extenders. I tried many things with luck. Out of frustration I looked for my saved DVD from my Linksys DMA2100 extender. I never needed it when I first set up the system with the WRT610N, so I never used it. With that router it was literally plug and play. I figured I had nothing to lose by trying it here.

I did the install wizard on the DVD and Viola! everything worked. When I mentioned his success in another forum they theorized that it may have set some PnP settings in the WRT54G, but were not needed in the newer WRT610N router.

I would recommend you give this a whirl and see if it helps you like it did me. Go to the downloads section here. Select the hardware version 1.0 (only one listed) and download the setup wizard.
