Xbox 360 cannot load Windows Media Center library?

I have my Xbox 360 setup to stream video files from my PC via the Windows Media Center Extender, and up until now I haven't had any problems with it.

This morning I was adding and removing some folders from my library, and when I later loaded up Media Center on my Xbox, I got this message:

"There are no items in this library yet - Windows Media Center is searching for media files in the background. To add more video, you can go to Tasks > Settings > Media libraries."

In other words, I am unable to access any of my video files on my 360. My 360 simply does not recognize that I have any folders in my library.

I double checked on my PC that I had added folders to the correct library, tried adding the folders again on my 360, reverted my libraries to their previous state, deleted the extender and reconnected my Xbox, and used the network tuner built into Media Center, but still no luck.

I'm at a loss as to what to do next. Media Center has been working flawlessly on my 360 for months and all of a sudden, nothing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i had a similar issue. you could try removing all your libraries on your windows7 box and recreating them and make sure you give it time to update all the items on the pc. also try deleting the extender and re-adding it
