Xbox controller has a driver problem

Hi!

I recently formated my hard drive and reinstalled windows, and have some problems getting my Xbox one controller to work.

Using the truobleshooter in W7 I get this response: "Xbox controller has a driver problem". I've tried to install/reinstall the driver with an installer I found online (xb1usb.11059.0.140526x64), downloaded the driver from Microsoft Downlad Center and installed using Microsofts own instructions, and I tried several other ways without success.

I'm really lost here, and that's why I'm asking for help.

Edit: Uploaded a picture of my device manager. I have no clue what the "unknown device" is. Everything works apart from the Xbone controller.

Hello Velv, welcome to SF.
Where did you download the drivers from? Was it from here... https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-on-windows/accessories/connect-xbox-one-controller-to-pc
Have you tried plugging it into another USB port?
You could try right clicking in Device Manager and selecting Update Driver, then select Search Automatically for updated software and letting it check online.
If that doesn't work, try right clicking and uninstalling the driver while it's plugged in. Then remove the controller, install the drivers again from the .exe and plug in again.
It looks like it's using the wrong driver or it didn't install properly.
Is your controller a wired or wireless one?

I thinks Brds second suggestion is the best option. Uninstall the driver and start from scratch downloading the driver from the referenced site. My wired Xbox controller works fine with that driver. I think you might be not using the appropriate driver. I don't think wired/wireless should make a difference, but I may be wrong on that.
