Hi, i was searching this forum to find any info on Windows XP mode. I am having the exact same problem i just got a copy of Windows 7 x64 pro from MSDNAA.

I have downloaded and installed the Windows XP mode RC from the microsoft website but i am not getting any executable file in the start menu or the program files menu. Like Dwardu my computer is quite capable of running XP mode, if anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Go into Control Panel and open Programs and Features. Click Turn Windows features on or off. Scroll down and ensure that Windows Virtual PC is checked.

Same thing happened to me. Turning on that checkbox resolved the issue.

I figured out what my problem was perhaps this is the same problem you are having dwardu. I didn't realize that i needed to install the windows virtualization program to make the windows xp mode work. It seems that windows xp will not run as a standalone program.

If you havent installed the windows virtualization software try that and it should fix your problem.

Also thanks to pparks1 for pointing me in the right direction to solve my problem.
