Yahoo images broken in Firefox

Yahoo is now broken in Firefox for me. No idea what happened. Images don't appear - just an empty white square. This happens on the Yahoo email page, and also the main Yahoo page - all the scrolling images for the news stories are gone. I ran CCleaner as I do regularly but thee issue remains. Did a recent Firefos update break something? I'm running v40.0.3. This just started happening this week.

Well I get the same problem. Have you tried another browser?

It's the same issue for me for any browser I've got installed.

Tried:
FF Portable
IE 11
Airfox
Cyberfox
D7 (browser)
Opera 12

Currently for me all images on the page resolve to an address beginning with s.yimg.com which is a blocked domain in my HOSTS file.

So I will disable HOSTS and test then report any change.

In the meantime let us know if you have any anti-tracking or other type of blocklists.

Okay with HOSTS file disabled everything Yahoo works including images displaying correctly.

Interesting. I don't have that domain blocked in my hosts file, but I am running ublock on Firefox and Chrome with a lot of the block lists enabled. I bet one of the ad lists is responsible. I'll look into it and report back.

You are thinking along the same lines as me. Something blocking that domain. Maybe try IE and see if you get the same results.
