Solved Yahoo Mail Problems?

Is anyone else having problems with Yahoo Mail? A little while ago, I tired to get in and it wouldn't take my password. I hit the Forgot Password? button, successfully jumped through the security questions hoops, and reset the password but, when I tried to enter the new password, no joy. Jumped through the hoops again; still no joy.

Hi, I don't have a Yahoo account but only minutes ago I went to log in to my Gmail and had reinstate my User and Password.
Maybe linked who knows.
Maybe M$ bought them out

I just checked mine, I was logged in so I logged out and logged back in with my email and password no problem in Canada

I hit their Help button and saw a notice that some users have been unable to log in and that their Engineering Team is working on it. So, it looks like hurry up and wait.

My neighbor has Yahoo and had problems logging in to his account. He entered his e-mail address and the password comes up automatically in black dots, hits enter and rejects the attempt, claiming the password didn't match. But then entered it manually and it opened.

But he said he couldn't access his account for a few days, so? Maybe they changed something behind the scenes?

Or they just had overload on their servers and could only take so many people online at one time and excluded anymore people online until the numbers dropped?

Like an overloaded circuit the fuse gets hot and automatically shuts down the service temporally?

Now I have to figure out how to "create an association in default programs control panel to be able to attach documents to my Outlook e-mails and or respond to a e-mail link.

Btw, considering how Marissa Mayer has all but destroyed Yahoo, does anyone have any suggestions for a web based email client I can use should Yahoo bite the dust for keeps? I can't use Gmail (I don't trust Google) and I can't use anything from MS since the north end of southbound horses insist that I enable all cookies, not just theirs (that will never happen as long as I draw breath; besides, I no longer trust MS, either).

Personally I have several webmail accounts for various reasons - one of those is for entirely personal use and doesn't get used to sign up to any websites or post anything anywhere on the internet.

Anyway you could take a look at GMX email. What I like is it's "mail collector" feature that allows you to import mail from other accounts. Also when replying to an email message you can specify the sender's address as any of those that you own.

It has both IMAP and POP3 support and a few other features including password protected file storage and sharing.

I dropped Yahoo after 15 years because of all the problems. I've yet to regret this choice
Bonus: It's based in Germany which has great email privacy rules.

YVW. Google research says that mail.com was acquired by GMX in 2010. So yes, I guess they would essentially be the same!
