Yahoo! News Page Black When Scrolling

Hi, I hope this is the right place to post this question. I run Firefox, have the latest version. Occasionally, when I scroll down Yahoo! News (the vertical stories), each time I scroll, the news page goes black for a microsecond. This does not happen when I run Internet Explorer. What could be causing it? (I am not a computer techie, so please use language a non-techie will understand.) Thank you.
