Hi everyone, I have an old hard drive that has firefox and with boomarks etc. Id like to import these bookmarks etc into a new installation of firefox. The problem I have is I get the You don't have permission to access this folder.

I believe I am accessing the right folder which is under documents and settings.

Thank's for any help

FF has its folders in two places:
users [user] appdata local mozilla...
users [user] appdata roaming mozilla...
Which folder can't be accessed? Normally, the above two folders are no trouble to access.

Ok if I go into docs and settings there are 2 folders, 1 All users and 2 my name, the second folder is what I am trying to access. I believe Im trying to access the right folder.

There are some folders in that area that only the Trusted Installer can access. That is normal. Exactly what is the name of the folder you're trying to invade? And, did you try the two folders paths I gave for Firefox? Mozilla Thunderbird does the same thing, except its end folders are Thunderbird.
