Please Help: Windows 7 Will Not Boot due to SP1 Update

I have spent the last 8 hours trying to get my computer to start up. I this morning tried to update my computer with SP1 and now my computer will not get me to my desktop. Here is the problem:

When I start up my computer Window's logo shows then:

at the bottom of the screen it says Windows is Loading Files and a bar at the bottom of the screen appears

Then it goes straight to Startup Repair it runs then it comes with a message Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically

When I click view problem details the following info is displayed:

    Problem Signature:
    Problem Event Name: StartupRepairOffline
    Proglem Signature 01: 6.1.7600.16385
    Proglem Signature 02: 6.1.7600.16385
    Proglem Signature 03: Unknown
    Proglem Signature 04: 21200912
    Proglem Signature 05: Autofailover
    Proglem Signature 06: 41
    Proglem Signature 07: CorruptFile

    OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1
    Locale ID: 1033

From the System Recovery Options I try to do System Restore but I can only get 1 restore point which is the Windows 7 Service Pack 1 and when I check the box show more restore points no more restore points appear. When I do system restore with this only restore point I get the following: System Restore did not complete successfully. Your computer's system files and settings were not changed. An unspecified error occured during System Restore. (0x8007000e)

I ran chkdsk /R and it says it did fix some errors but at the end it says could not transfer logged message to the event log with status 50.

I when run sfc/scannow it says it cannot run because system repair is pending and requres a restart. it then tells to try sfc after restart and I do but same message and it keeps on appearing.

I try F8 and run in all the different options listed but I get back to this same situation.

I do not have my Windows 7 disk so I cannot repair from the disk. I do not want to format because I have files on my computer which i did not backup. These are really important files.

    Please somebody hep.

Additionally, when I type Notepad on Command Prompt, and I click File -- Open from Notepad I can navigate to my Program Files and they are all there, so I know my files are not disrupted but I just cannot start my windows properly.

Also when I start command prompt it starts in X drive?

I so much regret doing a Window's update.

Make a System Repair Disk and run Startup Repair from it. System Repair Disc - Create

It should automate SFC and System Restore, if not run them from the Recovery Options on the CD.
SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot

You can copy out your files using the Repair CD: Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console

Do you have a Recovery partition or disks? Do you have access to a Win7 installer for your licensed version?
