I just bought a Windows 7 computer. But when I try to install the game, Warcraft III, it displayed a note, "Windows NT is NOT SUPPORTED for Warcraft III" under Install Warcraft 3. Apart from that, it also displayed another note, "Requires DirectX 8.0 or higher". As I know nothing much on computers, I seeked help here. Someone please help me! Thanks! And here are my computer infomation.

1. Download and install DirectX End-User Runtimes. Some of the features are missing in DX11 from previous versions. This will install them.
2. Run installer in compatibility mode.

hope this will help

first of all try graphics card driver update
hope it will help a bit, but in your graphics card is an integrated intel one, so don't hope too much... it is not because it's weak, but the compatibility is very low... :(
so if update won't help, I think there's nothing to do... :S

I think it just got worse.
The animation during refresh alone is slower than the one before the update.
****!
Is there any way to return back to the original one before the update?

Sorry i was wrong:o. You could uninstall the driver but i do not know the implications of that.

Or you could try updating the driver again.

Foe both these methods all you need to go is to "device manager' (search it in the start menu) then locate your driver and right click to select up update ( i recommend you try updating before uninstalling) or uninstall.

Maybe, you should try this:
1. start Warcraft III
2. enter the game, where lagging is happening
3. ctrl + esc (or other methods to return to desktop)
4. start Task Manager
Now look at the CPU Usage. There is a problem in Win7, when rundll32.exe is using up the 50% of the CPU and slows down the computer badly.
If this is the fact, than I down't know any methods to fix this.
Many older games are doing the same, I also had the same problem with a couple of them.
If someone knows what to do, please post it.

Weirdo. My War3/TFT runs with default settings and doesn't lag a bit. I did not installed anything but the CD contents. Actually, I installed just the 1.2X patch from Blizzard to play on Battle.net, but unless this fixes something performance-related, I believe you may have something else eating your CPU and/or your GPU.

So, should I like get a better graphic card?

Because it's a integrated Intel graphics card you probably can't replace it. But I aint sure.
