cant complete windows live installation on win7

hello

i tried a few times now but i cant get the windows live mail, ,messenger ect. to run.

allway get the errorcode
microsoft vc80.crt,version="8.0.50727.42",type="win32",proc
(hr:0x80070643)

perhaps someone can help me ?

I didn't have this error when I installed windows live, but today Messenger doesn't work normally (error 0xc0000005).
The only solution for me is launch the application as an administrator and with Vista compatibility mode.
Try installing windows live with this parameters...

So far (fingers crossed) my live apps are working. Hopefully we can get yours working as well. I'm just running straight apps, no compatibility.

The only issue I experience installing Live apps was that it would almost ALWAYS fail on the first attempt then install correctly on the second attempt. I did 5 re-installs on the same day and it was exactly the same case each time. Fail, then click retry and it works.

I know, I don't like it that you haven't at least got the option, I am using the beta is that the same as you or is it the same with the old version as well.

The only Live app. I am using is Live Mail - took several attempts to get it to install on 6801, but installed fine first time on 7000.

Strangely, when right clicking on something in the junk mail folder, the only option is to Mark as not Junk - the other options are greyed out.

Also , occasionally and randomly, received emails go into the Drafts Folder as well as the Inbox - but not all of them - maybe just one or two out of ten or twenty received.

This might be something to do with IE8 - had issues with Live Mail on Vista when IE8 was installed.

Windows live 2009, has quite a few bugs. I tried it and had to go back to 2008.
Live Mail is my priority useage. I found , trivial as it may seem, that I no longer had the menu facility to send/receive, on the top. Worst. When I sent mail (I used aa couple of my other addresses for the test) it vanished into the big wide world and was not even visible in the sent box. I did not, at that stage, want to waste time debugging so sent off the feedback and reinstalled the 2008 release.

Same as JOe - No probs (so far)" When I wrote that, I had already installed the 2008 release. On "advice" I updated to 2009 with the above probs!
