I have Windows live messenger and Skype and Microsoft Office, so far they're the only ones I noticed that are doing this. But when I open them, the icon in the taskbar shows a basic windows classic icon, it does not show the proper icon for these programs. I pin the program to the taskbar, and then unpin it, and it shows up correctly for a while, but then goes back to classic windows icon. How can I try and fix this?

I repaired the Windows Live Icon with a microsoft autmated troubleshooter. But it did not repair Skype, or Office. It is only these icons effected but they are effected everywhere on my system, meaning the startmenu, as well as the taskbar, even my dock.

Windows 7 64bit
Dell XPS 1640

Any other information can be provided if needed, i appreciate any and all help.

It seems I am missing my setup and uninstaller for Office, so I cannot do the steps above because the folder is missing. Any idea how I can uninstall Office without the uninstaller? :/

If you don't have an original disk and you uninstall it, it's gone.

Yeah no im not worried about it being gone. I'm worried about getting it off my computer without having an uninstall.exe?

Go to the control panel, programs and features, click on the program you want to remove and choose "uninstall".
