As was said before, you have o literally right click on the webpages to get the option to create a shortcut. Do not try to create on by clicking on the desktop![]()

That method would work for a simple desktop internet shortcut, but you would not be able to pin the shortcut to the Start Menu or taskbar.
The method below gives you a bit more flexibility instead for the shortcut.

I know that your method works. but the advantage you give is that you can associate a default browser.
But as I stated, If you drag it from the address bar you can pin it to task bar, desktop, quick launch etc.
