What's the best browser to use with W7?

I STRONGLY prefer Firefox because of the add-on No-Script which saves me from possible viruses and such.

However, I feel like I am missing out because not only does it not match the Aero interface without extensive tweaking but also the new 3D task switching does not show firefox tabs only IE tabs. Opening multiple Firefox windows to get this functionality would be silly and a waste of resources.

What I am looking for is either an add-on comparable to No-Script for IE8 AND an add-on that lets you view All History in IE8, OR a fully-updated Firefox that makes use of the new W7 features and matches it visually without having to put a lot of effort into customizing it.

I'm open to other browser suggestions if they meet the 4 above requirements.

I use Srware iron since I dont really care too much about addons. Speed and security are the biggest things for me. The Chrome code on which Iron is created from is quite robust therefore it is my top choice.

Very slick and intuitive. I like it, thanks!

Question though, when you say you use it for "security" are you talking about the incognito browsing? If so that is not what I meant.

I didn't see any way to search for addons from within like Firefox. As nice as this is, I don't think I can use it without a "No-script" style addon. It is not built into the browser either, as I don't have to manually allow each page I visit that needs to run scripts. They just run on their own without my permission.

I guess I could always use this 95% of the time and when I go to sketchy sites I'll just open Firefox for that. :P

*edit* Is there a way to spoof this as if it were another browser? I'm trying to use it for an online class and 99% of it works fine but it does some browser check for when taking the tests and says incompatible. (but that is TOTAL BS, the tests are exactly like the other assignments and those work fine)

You could change the security settings on IE and then only allow trusted sites to run scripts.
NoScript is great. No way I would give that up.

So you use mozilla and noscript but you are just theorizing a way I could accomplish the same with IE? Why am I not comforted in that...

Guys read the OP again. He doesn't want to know what browser you personally like.

Here's the important part...

I like SRWare Iron, but it still doesn't make use of the flip 3D interface. I guess I can just not use tabs and open new instances of the browser to get this functionatily. It takes about half the memory of FF, so that is not so bad.

However, I don't think it has the security I wanted. I have already seen a couple pop-unders and 1 other thing I didn't want to get run. No add-ons eh? Well if I can't disable scripts somehow I guess I'll only use this for sites that I know are safe.

@digital
Is there a button or hotkey for the homepage? Right now I have to reopen the browser or spawn a new window to go home.

Hey try clicking on the spanner icon on the top right and go into Options and in the first page there should be a checkbox for displaying the home button in the toolbar in Iron. Let me know if that worked!

You are right the addons or totally lack of any is the major disadvantage to this browser.

And hehe I finally read what the OP was for this thread lol so apologies for not reading thoroughly.

I am however not aware of this browser tab flip3d connection. That is something I am curious about. All I do to navigate between tabs is Ctrl Tab.

Im using Opera 10 Beta, and its the best browser i've ever had. I just love the build-in torrent downloader, the widgets, the skins. Its just perfectly, and fast.

OK I'm willing to try this, but what about the lack of History tab in IE? Being able to go back and search where I've been but forgotten is a life-saver. I use it all the time.

There's history. It's kinda retarded to get to but it's there. You click the Favorites button then click the History tab.

There is a third party add-on for Firefox to allow full use of jumplists etc it may be found here ....

Mozilla Links

It's still in development at the moment and I'm sure that the full functionality will be in Firefox soon
