Whether the drive information or not shows depends on what view you are using in Windows Explorer.

For example if you choose small or medium icons the grey drive information does not show.

If you choose large icons or Tiles you can see the information.

I like to use "Tiles" because besides the numbers it gives you a visual bar of the information.

Sorry but that is simply not correct.
The only thing you need, is to enable the Details pane then the info shows no matter if you chose large icons or list
Try it out (disable the pane and see what you get
