Hello,
First off to try to explain the problem:
The computer crashes with a bsod very soon after turning it on the first time each day (or probably more accurately, whenever it has been off for an extended period of time). The crash sometimes happens very early before I get to my desktop, sometimes happens as soon as I see my desktop, and sometimes I will detect its about to happen because some if the display properties look buggy and as soon as I open something - bsod. Once the first bsod happens, the computer restarts - it offers safe mode but even if i don't use it, it will run perfectly afterwords.
Windows has attempted some fixes itself, it has run tests to scan through my ram i believe, and system restore frequently runs for 20 minutes to say windows cannot fix the problem.
My friend has done a full scale RAM sweep of some type, we checked and double checked all the drivers.
I'm not sure if this is relevant - but when we first set up the computer we had some problems because the two computers together were drawing too much power from the power bar they were plugged into... but the old computer is now gone (and i've actually plugged the new computer straight into the wall - not the best idea i know but I was trying to rule things out)
System specs -
The computer is 4 months old now, it has had the problem since the first time we plugged it in. It was bought piece by piece and built (by a friend who is knowledgeable), we installed my copy of windows 7 64-bit. All the parts are good quality and nothing is reused. The operating system has only been installed once.
Now for the zip files I'm supposed to include:
- I have no clue why the resource and performance monitor is saying no anti-virus is detected, I'm clearly running Microsoft Security Essentials and its online and up-to-date.
This problem has literally plagued me for 4 months now, its irritating because it'll be difficult to 'take it in' to get it fixed and it is sometimes a huge problem (like when I turn the computer on and it tries to install windows updates but bsod's in the middle). If anybody can help me out I will be very thankful. As I said before this problem has been here since day one - so I can't imagine it's something I have done, I think it must be compatibility of the parts or how we installed stuff.
Thank You for your time.
