Hello,

I'm only a wannabee, so have patience. :D

I really want to learn. I had a guy set up a connection at an internet cafe. He changed some protocols with the IPv4 and IPv6. Now I have limited connectivity on my home wireless router. I have attempted to reset them through command prompt. IPv4 will reset but IPv6 says there is nothing to reset. The area for IPv6 IP info is blank and when I attempt to insert IP info it tells me the IP number is invalid. I don't have a restore point, so I can't do that.

What else can I do to reset that info?

Thanks in advance.

I've got Windows 7 build 7100. It's a clean install. I've been using it since early May with no problems with internet connections. It's a three year old Toshiba Laptop, with a Celeron Chip and a gig and half of memory.

Everything was fine with my internet connections until yesterday with this guy changed my protocols to be able to use his wireless. Now I can't connect to any wireless network and I think it is related to the IPv4 and IPv6 protocols that he changed.

thanks!
