That program is from Microsoft.
That program will NOT damage your system in form or fashion.
Yes, if you have the 64 bit version of Win 7 installed, then you need the 64 bit version.

Please follow the instructions, precisely as written. Do not guess at the next step. Do not take shortcuts. simply go step by step with the instructions.

The only people who have troubles are those who fail to follow the procedure given.

Alright thanks, I tried doing the USB download, and I had an error come up saying that it could not be formatted. So I am going to either find a new flash drive to use or try what was on the site of doing it on another computer. I don't have another flash drive available on hand at the moment, nor do I have an accessible computer to use as well. So bare with me as I'll try to accomplish this later in the day. No, it's not a size issue, it's a formatting issue. When trying to download the program onto the stick, a error message popped up saying that it was unable to format the USB.

Let's try to prepare the usb stick for use.

Some usb sticks have been formatted by linux or by dos or the likes thereof and have a partition type which is not recognized by Win 7.

They can become corrupted or simply become defective. Some usb sticks from some manufacturers can be failure prone.

Please go to an elevated command prompt (run cmd.exe as administrator), that is:

Elevated command prompt = Run CMD.EXE as administrator
WIN | type CMD.EXE (do not hit Enter key) |
Right-Click on CMD.EXE above | Run as administrator | YES

OR
WIN | type CMD.EXE (do not hit Enter key) |
CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER | ALT + y

WIN is the key with the Microsoft flag on top.

Now you will run the DiskPart program which has its own set of commands:

Enter following commands, each followed by hitting ENTER:
· DiskPart
· List disk (lists disks in your system)
· Select disk <numeral> (without the < and the >)
· Detail disk (info should let you know if you selected correctly)
· Clean ALL (your entire disk is being overwritten with zeros.
This can take a considerable amount of time. Leave off the ALL for a much shorter clean which only cleans the boot sectors)
· CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY (create a primary partition)
· FORMAT FS=NTFS (format the partition)
· ACTIVE (the partition can contain operating system startup files)
· ASSIGN (the next available letter is assigned to disk)
or
ASSIGN Letter=X (Assign X as drive letter. Use the letter of your choice)
· EXIT (Exits from DiskPart)
· EXIT (this exits from the command shell)

Okay, the flash is now fixed and loaded w/ the program. Now you said you were wanting logs. Which logs are you talking about so I make sure I don't close it out anything that you are wanting.

Okay, so I ran the program, and it said there was nothing in there that was harmful. After doing that scan, I did Malwarebytes and it still said that there was two items found. And MSE still has the pop up from adobe flash play. Attached are the logs that you asked for, alone with a screen shot of what pops up on my screen. Maybe it can possible help in the situation.

Delete the Sept 11 program. Delete the adobe flash play.

There is a rather new release of adobe flash player to correct, in you case, several, security issues.

In a second, I'll look at the log and get back to you.

Your log has one peculiarity but this may be harmless.

I've asked some others to take a look at your log.

In the meantime,
rb: | type %TEMP% | ENTER | Ctrl + A to select all | Ctrl + D to delete all | If you have MSE installed, there will be one folder that can not be deleted. this is normal and ok.

Following that, carry out following and attach the startup.txt file and the install.txt file

I deleted the Sep 11 and adobe flash. The flash that I had though (just deleted) was recently downloaded so I would have thought it would have been the lately.

I did delete my temp folder as you asked, but there was a few folders left over after the delete.

Also, I used CCleaner, and made sure Adobe and Sep 11 was deleted.

Why you would ever use Safari is beyond me. Firefox is, in my opinion, in combination with NoScript and WOT the most secure browser available.

Yep, leave the others unchecked.
You are not disabling them,you are simply telling Win 7 to not run them at startup time.

Reboot your system again then delete %temp% again and see what ends up there.

The file you are seeing is created by MSE and is safe and is part of MSE's attempt to avoid and/or know when malware is trying to remove MSE.
