Location
London, England.
When I go to either "My Documents, Pictures, Music etc" It's always showing around 5 different locations, When I only want it to show one, without having any drop down menu showing where else they are visible, How can I completely STOP sharing EVERYTHING on my computer over my home network, and turnoff locations?

Thanks for your help, xSaxby.

Hello Saxby,

Locations in a library are only the folders that you have included in the library.
Press Alt+V to open the View menu bar, then click on Group by and (None) to see if that may help with how they are arranged in the library.

Next, if you are in a Homegroup, then you could either leave the homegroup, or change the file and folder sharing permissions for what you would like to share in the homegroup.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

I've added a more detailed picture, that will hopefully explain more. I just want it to be like the second picture always.

Sorry, I can't explain it very well.

Thanks very much, xSaxby.

Sorry Jack. I see what you mean now.

Unfortunately, "locations" are the included folders in the library. If you remove the included folders, then you will not have anything in the library since the library is only an access point used to be able to access the included folders with the files in the included folders still stored at that location instead of the library itself.

The only way to see what you're seeing in your bottom screenshot is to open a library's included folder directly from the navigation pane instead of opening the library. :(
