Hi.
My windows 7 (32 bit) cant start.
When it tries to load it gives me this error:
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your langiage settings, and then click "Next."
3. Click "Repair your computer".

If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.

Status: 0xc0000225
Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible.

And I can press enter to continue or esc to exit (in both cases the computer restarts)

When I insert my windows installation disc and choose "repair my computer" it says its looking for windows installation but it keeps looking forever....

Please help...

Daniel.

I suspect a HD problem. It would explain the inability to boot and the "missing required device"

Were there any prior signs?

Can you put the HD in another computer to test?

A friend of mine sat on my keyboard :\ and i think it was then when the computer turned off.
then, when I tried to turn it on again, it tried to resume windows a cupple of times but it would'nt succeed. So I chose the start normally and erase restore point data option (or something like that) and then it started giving me this messege, after trying to start windows normally.

And yes. I can connect it to another computer. But what should I test and how?

Thank you for your quick answer.

Daniel.

If you can connect to another computer (what are you connecting? keyboard?, or on the network) what is it not doing

Can we get your system specs so we know what hardware we are dealing with.
