Hi guys, Nvidia just released a new driver for my graphic card today 295.87 or something like that, it still crashes after the install, it is not a driver problem. As i said i will get myself a 850W power supply just in case i'm getting any upgrades. If that solves that problem i will submit a new reply.

when i turned on my pc after the last crash. it said there was a Error reading my harddisk. and told me to reset my computer by holding ctrl+alt + delete

Could this be the harddrive?? (just in case)

I can't remember if we tested the HD. If not run maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan.

In addition run Disk Check

Hello again Greg :)

I dont think its the harddisk because its a new harddrisk. 2 - 3 weeks old. it crashed with my old harddisk in it too.

I dont understand the part "
In Windows XP - Go to Start...Run...and type in "devmgmt.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter. Click on the + sign next to Disk Drives and use Google to search the information listed there) " what infomation?

I also downloaded the first download for seagate. should i download all 3?

I'd say no. Most 120mm fans run on a quarter of an amp or a half amp @ 12v. So that means the use between 3 and 6 watts each. Probably a typo in whatever article you are reading.

You can look on the label of the fan and it will say how many amps it draws.
Watts = Amps x Volts.

The fan symptoms reinforce Dwarf's suggestion that the power supply could be defective. A supply that is not pumping out power on a smooth curve will cause all kinds of odd symptoms.

Can you borrow another power supply from someone to test with?

Been thinking alittle bit about this reply... I was playing battlefield 3 for 2 - 4 hours yesterday, when i left battlefield and opened wow my computer crashed after 30min 1 hour.

Like you said, my PSU is defective. My point is. IT could be that when my PSU is using high watt and then on 5min changes from high Watt use to low watt use, it could be crashing. like unstability ? Could it that happen?

You monitoring temps? I'd also watch Coretemp in System tray.

ALOT less errors in my event log now greg, I dont know if you saw the errors last time

got a critical error now. "Event 41, Kernal- Power""Message: The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly." (got a couple of these. 4 - 6)

Event-6008, EventLog: "The previous system shutdown at 16:58:43 on ‎20-‎02-‎2012 was unexpected."

Thats it, there is 2 - 3 other different errors. 2 drivers needs to be updated i'll do that now. And there is some system one, nothing serious. Looking up google on that one..

Thats my event log, after the clean install. all drivers seems to run as they should :-)

You did install the USB 3.0 driver for me right?

Yes it was the only driver missing in Device Manager, found on Asus Downloads webpage.

Keep an eye on optional Updates for newer drivers.

Only concern yourself with chronic errors which repeat. Google their text and number to see how others have solved them.

A shutdown error like you got is good to mark the time needed to check for other clues in Admin and Performance logs.

Utilize the System resources to check if it's found Problems or has solutions cued: troubleshooting steps

Hey greg, i've been checking on microsoft support which was on the top when searching for this error. he wrote basic stuff about error 41. But mine seems to be fine. then he wrote. if it has nothing to do with that. You would check your PSU could be defective or is dosent give enough power to your computer (i could also try plug in standard hardwares) i dont have any, i will try to follow your troubleshooting guide, if i find any errors there i will get back to you :)

I really dont get this. I've been playing battlefield 3 the last 3 - 4 days for 2 - 5hours everytime without having any freeze or shutdown, but as soon i play world of warcraft, minecraft any other game my pc crashes, idk if i'm just lucky not getting crash doing bf3.

Battlfield is using alot more power then any other games i have. I'm afriad that the new PSU wont solve the problem...

Can my computer start if there is a defect on my mobo or CPU?

If yes, could it be the problem and not the PSU?

Yes, it can start. Unfortunately, most defects do not result in fatal results. Only annoying mysteries.

Yes, it could be a faulty motherboard. Defective processors are extremely rare.

Are you getting any messages before these crashes? If so, tell us exactly what these are.
If you post in the Crashes and Debugging forum (follow posting instructions on the thread) you might get better insight into the exact faulting component.

I assume you are not overclocking anything? But did you make any changes at all to your BIOS settings?

I will talking to a friend yesterday, He told me that if the motherboard was the problem to cause my crashes it would be giving messages. Asus motherboard should give messages.

I've getting 2 errors after my computer is crashing. Been looking up to it on google and both is hardware problem. (PSU)

I am not overclocking anything, all though my graphic card is a overclocked GPU. can't adjust that.

After the last BIOS update 1001 i've only changed so its running HDD as primary when starting up.
