My computer lags whenever I type, watch video or just search the web. I did a system restore not to long ago so I don't know the issue. I have a 2009 Gateway running Windows 7 64. Help is needed thanks.
Open task manager and click on the Performance tab. Check the CPU and Memory usage. There could be many programs running or executing tasks in the background due to which your PC is lagging. On the same Performance tab in task manager, click on Resource Monitor to check which process is eating up the CPU and RAM.
The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. Alright, we are not going to be able to get at it this way. Can you list any errors you see reoccurring?
Bonjour somethimes comes with a printer when installed. It is from Apple.
Go to Start/Search/ and type msconfig. Go to Start Up and let us know how many and what is checked. I have my Security, keyboard and mouse. Now go to Services in msconfig and check Hide all Microsoft Services; all I checked there is my security programs. Please don't fool with Microsoft Services. You very well might have just a lot of things running in the background that are not necessary.
Please post back and fill in your complete Specs.
