This usually indicates that you have a problem with your network driver. The rest of your ipconfig looks fine and your router is working but with all those extra tunnel adaptors you will have nothing but problems.

If you want to get rid of those rogue tunnel adaptor entries you need to open up your device manager, then go to "view" at the top of the page and then select "show hidden devices" then go down to Network adaptors. You will then need too delete or uninstall all the extra "Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface" tunnel adaptors you see there, windows will create a new one automatically.

After that check your ipconfig /all to see if they all have been deleted and post the results of your ipconfig/all here please.
smile.gif

After that it should be easy to stay connected to the internet although you might want to look around for a better network driver.

If they all don't show up you can change a registry setting to make them all show up "backup the registry first".

Registry Settings, navigate too the following key.
System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTE\CurrentControlSet\Control \Session Manager\Environment]

Data Type: REG_SZ (String Value)Value Name: DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES
Value Data: (1 = show all hidden devices)

It looks like your wireless connection is working but your wired connection isn't.

Have you tried resetting your router yet?

You should do that and disable the wireless connection because Windows can't use both. After that try updating the wired network driver by uninstalling it from device manager and having windows look for a new one.

i uninstalled the driver. how do i get windows to get me a new one??

Usually you can right click on the connection and have windows find one using the "Update this driver" button, or you can use your wireless connection to find one for your particular wired network adaptor.

Something went wrong with the driver which is why there were so many extra tunnel adaptors.

I doubt that a router would make any difference...
...but if you already have a router - then go ahead and try it.

If you do not own a router - then it is probably not worth buying one just to test.

What is the make/model of the cable modem that your wired network adapter is currently connected to?

On the computer, is there a green or orange light near the LAN jack when a LAN cable is connected?

A clean install will fix the problem right up until you install that bad update again. This is a common problem by the way. But we really haven't tried everything yet.

If you can post your ipconfig/all here it may help to spot where the problem is occuring.

It looks like the DNS server wasn't showing up in your last ipconfig, but I'm not sure why.

In the mean time try resetting TCP/IP, winsock and flushing the DNS cache may help.

Lets try flushing DNS cache and renewing your IP.

Flush the DNS cache and restore MS's Hosts file ...
Copy and paste these lines in Note pad.

@Echo on
pushd\windows\system32\drivers\etc
attrib -h -s -r hosts
echo 127.0.0.1 localhost>HOSTS
attrib +r +h +s hosts
popd
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset all
netsh int ip reset all
shutdown -r -t 1
del %0

Save as flush.bat to your desktop. Right click on the flush.bat file to run it as Administrator.

Your computer will reboot it self.
