I had the same problem. Just reboot and check device driver to see if the numbers changed. If not, try installing again and restart. It will stick eventually. I to never noticed the software taking over and asking to reboot or installing after a rebooot. But it did install some how lol

After re-boot it's installing a Micro$oft driver. :(

I just downloaded the new drivers...averaged 500+KB/s the whole download (using Free Download Manager, so I'm sure that helped.) Ran the installer--

Uninstalled previous drivers
rebooted
Installed new drivers
rebooted
Back to work.

Things worked exactly as advertised. Guess I was just lucky. :) (Not an April Fools joke.)
