BSoD 0xd1, new pc, confused

Nope external was only plugged in on first 3 bsods and last one.

Have had pc returned to dealer- pc got checked, bios updated, stress tested and so on, and was reported that everything is running fine.

Just today i plugged it in back,
After BioS setuping - i have simply turned on warnings for overheating, fan stopping, also set cpu fan to normal speed instead of being max speed allways - just normal bios setup.

After bios setup pc freezed while booting.

10 minutes after one more bsod.
(external usb plugged in - had to put my docs in, but wasnt proccesting ATM,
low temps, almost idle pc)
After restart, pc freezed while booting, at latest stage- there was white dash flashing, and never stopping for minutes.

Dealer-computer guy said, that probably the problem was unupdated BIOS, but as I see there may be still something out there..

As i looked in downloads folder almost all drivers where checked aswell..

Actually i was trying to get money refund for pc, but, as stated that pc is fine, i wasnt allowed to do that.

Any suggestions what to do now to keep pc stable or smth?

Are you overclocking? Most of your BCCodes are relevant to voltage issues either as a result of overclocking in the BIOS or using softclocking tools. Are you using ANY of the Gigabyte utilities? Smart6? EasyTune6?

I doubt it - have installed only drivers.

You may want to have your external HD plugged in but turned off until you get to the windows desktop. I have a eSata external HD that when I constantly keep on sometimes locks up my bios.

freezing was not at bios state, it was at very latest one- when black screen just before starting windows screen. ( right before or right after "starting operating system")

And after restart button, system got started, but, just before welcome screen i get strange clicks for display, and it turns of for half second aswell.


Just for to be sure- in the last bsod file i didnt see Nvlddmkm.sys - just nstrokrnl


Ill do that stuff after 10 hours, and ,

after first bsod, report dmp
or , lets hope lot more time, report that im fine

not sure how you are checking the dump file but when i ran windbg it gives me nvlddmkm constantly.

I cannot seem to do your suggestion, because driver robot is not free program, yet, looks it shows what is wrong -

I use blue screen viewer.

today i got 2 bsods -
first - i turned pc on and left for breakfast.
second - while googling.

first dump file is ntfs.sys crash and next one is the usbhid.sys driver. So it seems to be hard drive, USB related and more occasionaly that Nvidia driver.

So it's quite odd. I really would disconnect ALL third party devices and test you computer. Disconnect your DVD drives, etc. Basically you want to strip down your computer to bare minimum and rule out hardware components.

And BY the way did you do stress test with prime 95? And What are your CPU temperatures?

What USB port are you using for the hard drive a USB 3 port or a USB 2 port?

All the bsods were at my house, and at dealer pc didnt make any bsods.

Now pc is at friend's who is repairing pcs, and yet there was no bsod.

So there are like two predictions - i may have corrupted usb devices - keyboard and mouse, which causes mb to crash - the mb is funked up.

And the second one, is the elecrical power source - the socket.
Is that possible?


Because i really doubt, that if you have new pc, new software, and pc would just simply cause bsods like for no reason..

Take the KB and mouse to him, I've have seen some of the gaming KB's drivers acting up recently, also applies to any game pads you normally have plugged in.

Pc used to crash without no tasks at all.
Yes, it uses same tasks as i did
