I certainly hope someone here can help me.

It used to be that the commands I typed in the RUN window where there when I returned. Not so now, the window's completely blank, and I have to retype where I want to go or open every time.

What must I do to make the programs hold?

Have you been using some type of cleaning program, such as CCleaner? Those programs will clear your recently used run commands if you don't configure them correctly.

If you are frequently running a progarm in that fashion, then you might want to consider: 1) creating a desktop shortcut, 2) pinning to start menu, 3) pinning to task bar.

I just installed CCleaner last week, This has been going on for over 2 months. I use no other cleaners of any kind.

Good idea, but it no use thinking about that now. First I have to get it working properly again.

Hi Shawn,

Thank you for both links. With the first one, Under Privacy: Store & display recently opened programs in the Start Menu and the Taskbar was ticked. I rectified this by removing the tick and selecting to only open programs in the Start Menu.

Then I proceeded to turn on Auto Suggest. When that was accomplished I tested Run.

I typed in Regedit, then Control Panel. I opened Run again and both commands were still visible.

Thank you so much. Please consider this topic as Fixed.
