I used to play this game all the time on my old pc. Now I have a dell laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OS and I can't figure out for the life of me how to run this game.

I've tried just about every solution i could find, but no one seems to be running into the problem I am.

Everytime I try to start up the game i get an error message that reads:

"Please isert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart application"

I definintley have the correct disc in and the disc is in great condition.

Any help would be IMMENSELY appreciated.

Is the disc a copy of the original from the store, or is it the cd from the store? It might not like the copied CD.

No, the disc is the original cd from the store. Ive also tried installing the Rise of the Witch King expansion and using that disc (which is also the original) and I run into the same problem :/

Tried running it with Admin rights? Or with certain compatibility modes? The XP SP2 usually works for me. You could also try turning off Desktop Composition.

Have you also tried creating an image file, and use Daemon Tools to mount the image file?

I've tried running it with Admin rights and with Compatability mode.

How do I turn off Desktop Composition or create an image file?

Desktop Composition is in the Compatibility tab.

To create an image file, you will need a CD/DVD burning program. Nero, or Alcohol 120%. There's a few more, but Nero is among the best.

If you don't have either of these (or any other burning program), you won't be able to do it. But if you do, I can tell you how (though making a CD/DVD image might not even fix your problem).
