Solved How to view Chinese Language in program like Google Pinyin?

I having trouble viewing Chinese on my computer, I not sure how to do it. My google pinyin or whatever Chinese program, i couldn't read Chinese language. So does anyone know how to solve it?

I'm using Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

Have you downloaded and installed the Chinese Language Pack from Microsoft?

If you have, try the following steps:
1. Go to Control Panel.
2. Click "Change Display Language".
3. Go to "Administrative".
4. Click "Change System Locale"
5. Select "Chinese (Simplified, Singapore)" and click OK.
6. Reboot your system and see if it works.

Actually, I not sure which country, the people there are very friendly too. They are tourist. They came here, Penang, Malaysia. There was once I'm going in the lift, then I saw the tourist coming in to the lift too, but when he saw me, he let me in first, so I thank him and smile at him.
Well, I love it too/

Now I notice that although can see chinese, but the Windows folder (New folder, or something created in the Windows Explorer) cannot read Chinese. Is all symbol when I type in Chinese.

Hmm... how do I download and install the Chinese Language Pack? I think I suppose to have it installed on my PC already?

I tried, can't find any language pack to download?

I think you can only change without reinstalling if you have it Ultimate or Enterprise edition.

Other editions, you have convert the mui to a cab , extract the install .wim from the Windows 7 .iso.

Use dism to install .cab into your edition.

Put install.wim back into the iso.

Then you install Windows 7.

Otherwise, just get a chinese .iso of your edition.

Either way, you need to install windows 7.

I downloaded and try to run it, but nothing happens? Does the file guide us to install or anything?

I believe you can only install it into running windows if you have Ultimate Edition.

If you do not have Ultimate Edition, you need to do this:

1. convert the .exe to a .cab file with this :


View attachment execab30.zip


2. Copy the install.wim from your windows 7 dvd onto your hard drive.

3. Use DIsmgui to Mount the install.wim - make sure you mount the Edition you are going to use - in your case Professional.

4. Use Dismgui to Add the language pack .cab you just made by using dism add package command.

5. Use Dismgui to Unmount and Commit the wim. ( UNMOUNT-COM button)

You can then install Chinese language win7 from that .wim.


It has to be a new installation - you cannot change your current win7 to Chinese.

To save doing that - you could simply get a windows7 installation .iso that is already Chinese edition.
