I am trying to install an older game on Windows XP SP3 (32bit) using Virtual PC. The game has been installed without any error and running its panel. Now whenever I hit the 'start game' button it says"

"No 3D hardware installed in your system."

I loaded my laptop drivers into virtual environment but they are unable to be installed.
Now please tell me what can I do to run it?

Note: I've Windows 7 64bit and the game has compatibility issues with 64bit system.

I'm guessing the virtual PC's graphics drivers are basic crap like S3 Trio, which is why the game won't work. Tell us what game you're trying to install.

Virtual PC doesnt support even basic 3d acceleration.

try virtual box or vmware player both are free and support some 3d acceleration.

but really vm is not very good for gaming.. ofcourse you can run some old games but i recommend cpu that supports hardware VM acceleration.. and you need have enough ram.

I've installed virtualbox and enabled '3D Acceleration' under 'Display' settings but still it is saying that 'No 3D hardware installed..".

did you installed guest additions?
open virtual machine window select devices>install guest additions...
then follow setup on windows that runs inside vbox

also try VMware Player: Run Windows 7, Chrome OS - Free Download for a Virtual PC

if this doesnt help i dont know as i said before virtualization as it is now still not very good for games.
