I was wondering if you had tried booting into a normal Windows 7 Install DVD? You could download one from the link below for testing.

If you can do that, you might try running a System File Check from Offline.

How to Run the System File Checker (Sfc.exe) Offline in Windows 7 and Vista - The Winhelponline Blog

I don't suppose you had an external system image backup that might have included the Recovery partition?
