from windows 7 to xp and now cant install xp on hdd??? please help me?

Hi there, i have a fujitsu siemens p1 1505. it was working fine with windows 7 but the lady has an program that doesn't work with windows 7. So i tried to install windows xp. didn't work got a message saying no hdd's detected. so i removed the hdd and connect it to a pc and succefully installed windows xp. insert it back in the laptop and when it boots it gives me a flickering "_" please tell me what to do.

Some said it can be the SATA RIAD.....but i cant disable it on the bios.....

Thanks i know i can rely on you guys advising me on this one....please help me solve this problem

What was the name of the program that would not run in Windows 7? Did you try and run under compatibility mode?

Yes sir i did it was Bernina embroidery software editort lite v4....

After i tried that compatibility mode i got the blue screen the whole time even when i tried to repair, safe mode ect.....

Does the software require huge amounts of resources? If yes you might want to reinstall as it could be corrupted somewhere since 7 has a massive list of compatability db. If no and reinstall doesn't work may I suggest using an alternative like a virtual computer @ emulators.

What version of Windows 7 does your friend have? If Pro/Ultimate, its possible to run under WinXP Virtual machine in Windows 7.

Yeah it is windows ultimate....but as soon a s i attempt to in stall it is gives me a blue screen....how can i fix this i cant get my windows installed

First check for all the Win XP drivers for your hardware on the manufacturer's web site.
If your Win XP CD, does not support your Sata Controller, you will need to load drivers to uses at F6.
Load Sata Controller drivers with a floppy disk is the best way.

i am now at the final steps of slipsream please help me to find the sata drivers that i must add to burn the cd....i dont have the driver cd's of laptop and dont know what to download
