Idk if I can do this or not, but I am looking to purchase an ISO of a Windows 7 Home Premium OEM x64. It needs to have all the updates integrated in it, along with IE9 and all that good stuff. I format and reinstall Windows numerous times a day and this disc would do me wonders. I have tried doing it myself with RT Lite or whatever it was but couldn't figure it out and didn't have the time nor patience to constantly reinstall Windows to make sure it was working.

If this is in the wrong section, I apologize and just let me know where I need to go! If purchasing this stuff is not allowed feel free to simply delete this thread.

Thanks so much in advance, hope someone can help me out and possibly make a few bucks at the same time!

Thanks for your time!

It would be a nice disk to have but I don't know anyone who has compiled one. Someone would need to slip stream all updates to a w7 SP1 extracted iso file and create a new iso.

Easiest is to have a SysPrepped image of the completed install for each version you use so that you can just image it on the HD and you're done: SysPrep to move HD to another computer

Acronis True Image with Universal Restore can also do this.

The latest official Installer ISO with SP1 requires about an hours worth of Updates if you don't slipstream these in using 7Lite, which I consider more trouble than it's worth. I'd rather use an image or run the Updates while I'm setting the Clean Install or taking a break.

Telling by this Statement it appears you have a Pirated copy why else would you need to re-install to make sure it is working could be wrong but in case ......

I think if you are using a Pirated copy just go to the store and buy a version can't be no more then 89.00 dollars

If you want full updates well throw it on a dummy machine and let it update till they are a hundred percent then back it up on a double layer disc

In my shop we will backup the customers data and reinstall the OS. We do about 2 - 3 of these a day. Saving an hour and a half of time and Internet bandwidth would be an incredible luxury and money saver.

I have no clue how you got that assumption but you are so off it's not even funny. I did not ask about any sort of activation or anything, we use the CoA under every computer that is brought to us. If I wanted a pirated copy, why do Home Premium? Why not Professional for the networking features or mayne Ultimate for the language pack? Simply because 99% of computer that were shipped with Windows 7, had home premium.

Would this copy drivers also? This would be used on top of the line HPs to lower end acers. Don't really want to narrow myself to only certain computers.

Each system will have unique drivers, so no. At the least you'd need the Lan Driver.

Of course, that's why I didn't want the drivers because I figured it would just blue screen moving it from one computer to the other. Looking into sysprep now, looks interesting.

SysPrep generalizes the customized install so that upon first startup drivers are loaded from the Win7 driverstore just like during an install, also removing activation, HID and SID so the install can start on any PC. So does Acronis and Paragon Virtualization Manager.

Most of my installs need no more than 2-3 drivers at most after all Important and Optional Windows Updates are done which is why Gary's point to have the LAN driver standing by is so important. Win7 is mostly driver-complete in the installer and via Updates after enabling Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3) .

The author of the SysPrep tutorial Kari can advise you further.

I use Acronis Universal Restore for imaging, backed up by Paragon Adaptive Restore CD to PNP Adjust to new hardware and which can also apply Win7 backup images. PAR is now integrated into Paragon Virtualization suite, which our expert SIW2 can help you with further.

I haven't heard much lately about slipstreaming the post-SP1 updates into Win7 SP1 ISO but let's see if someone comes along to advise on that. It would be interesting to know how it works and what else can be added. In the past this has had mixed results. You certainly wouldn't want to remove anything from the leanest Windows ever.

Would this copy drivers also? This would be used on top of the line HPs to lower end acers. Don't really want to narrow myself to only certain computers.
Sorry, I guess I misunderstood you.

We OC's actually find other computers to install on, too. More of a challenge. I've always got a couple dozen spread around the country so I get to travel which is half the fun.

I'm practicing so I can get a job at it some day, maybe with the circus. ;)
