help with new mother board!!!!!!!

Ok so problem with screen is the one wire strand that I'm assuming to be the power wires.

So you have a loose wire/bundle? And you don't know for sure if it's the screens power connection?

Weather there plug in or out it makes no difference.

And it doesn't matter whether or not if it's plugged in because it's still failing regardless?


Do you have an external screen you can use?

I connected it to my TV ans it was fine. And the screen was working on the previous mother board.

If the new mainboard is fine connected to a TV, then chances are the card is the new board is fine. Sorry for the obvious, but did you double check the screen connection etc?

I'm planning on ocing it too.

Dont expect much, if any from a laptop chip OC. Heats the biggest factor.

But do you think that's worth the time and money of exchanging it ans getting née one or just get money back?

Tough call. Honestly it sounds like a lot of effort for minute awards. While the new mainboard has a better GPU, it's not 'that' much better.

omg desisions desisions!!!! lol it was the board. i swaped mine back in and its fine. all works.
but heres the thing tho... i do do a bit of gaming, video editing etc, so i thought it would be much better over what i have. but the thing that concerns me is how the cpu reacted. the fan was screaming, and even a bios update dident fix it. do you think thats just because of incompatibility or from it being defective?

Incompatibility is a possibility, particularly if the numbers on the motherboard are different from the original board or the advertised replacement.
But a defective board is likely if the numbers match.

When you say "the fan was screaming" I am thinking of a loud, high pitched noise like an alarm (or a frozen bearing). But it just occurred to me that you might mean it was running very fast. That would indicate something completely different (like incompatible hardware).
