Solved Icons not filling up taskbar?

I just now noticed that my icons in my task bar are not their full size. I don't know why they're doing it. It's not set on 'small icons.' I've tried switching it back and forth and it's still like that. Any reason?

Hello and welcome Zevoxa just as matter of interest why do you need them bigger than that? I only ask because mine look exactly the same is it a visual thing or purely decorative?

Right click anywhere on the taskbar > Properties and then see my pic

I already said it wasn't set on 'small icons' :s
But, regular task bars don't have that tiny gap between the bottom of the screen and the box around the icons.

Sorry mate I was just checking see some of mine actually touch the top and bottom and some like snip do not it may lie in the settings for icons.
Try Control Panel > System > Advanced system settings > Advanced (top button) > then scroll through the list I am sure there are features there that control the appearance of icons . See pic

Right click on start orb, click on properties, select taskbar tab then click on what is circled in red and it will tell you how to change size of taskbar. That should make it so the box fills taskbar.

Right click on start orb, click on properties, select taskbar tab then click on what is circled in red and it will tell you how to change size of taskbar. That should make it so the box fills taskbar.

i didnt realize you were being serious, its simple really, just right click the taskbar,unlock the taskbar and drag it up or down, then lock it.

its really good, when you get the setting the way you want . i have a tab for my ms office stuff keeps it together, my media players together and browsers etc. you can use it on win 8 also,it seems one license covers you for all your pc's

Hey that is good value then I shall get and use it for all my machines as I do like the grouping of your Office icons in particular.

you can set one icon as the main one so clicking the group icon opens the set star exe. i always have it set top left so at a glance i know which one it is, it displays a star in the pop up but it saves you having to hover,anyhow you soon get used to which is which, i also have the little tab above them set to hide.
its real easy to set up just play with it for a few mins and its done.
enjoy, i trialed it for them before it came out of beta . thought we mite get a freebie but no luck,
i bought it though as it was well worth it, once you get used to it you wouldnt want to do without it.
its like fences2 that has the same value. production wise.

Do this John, icons will group themselves.

My icons don't really go all the way top or bottom either.

Yeah Gary I was just intrigued by that grouping to be honest I have never taken much notice of the gap before and I am keeping the taskbar hidden on the laptop at the moment as it seems to be not a bad feature too

The open ones will fill up the bar. The unopened will not. At least that's the way mine are.

I figured it out. I had a folder (hidden) as a toolbar, which makes the icons have a little space under them. When I took the folder off the taskbar, it went back to normal.
