What's your memory assessment speed? [2]

Well, I do have the CPU dynamically clocked to 4.6GHz. That seems to raise it up a bit too.

Adding in the second set seemed to raise it roughly 800MB/s, while having the same CPU clock.

Great scores, that's a lot of RAM. Are you using VMs or RAM Disk?

Yeah, using a RAM drive and running some programs that can use a bit.

But suprisingly, Windows 7 SuperFetch can use up to just about as much RAM as you have available for it to work with as a kind of HDD cache.

My 32GB RAM drive is included in the "In Use" portion and the Standby is basically SuperFetch. So roughly 8GB are being used by my typical background programs (crunching for BOINC and hosting a Minecraft server, and of course Windows and whatnot). I think SuperFetch will likely cache more than what it has so far too.

My little graft. I use my Windows with all stock setting. I let Windows control the ram completely. I don't change page filling or anything else.
No little do dads or programs. STOCK.
In my bios my 2000 ram is at 1700 (underclock)

Only unusual characteristics (as it were) of my RAM is that I have as much as I do, use a RAM drive, and also don't use the paging file system.

I'm kind of surprised that your Standby is as small as it is. Do you not leave your computer up and running all that long? SuperFetch also might not cache as much since you have an SSD.

Hmm. Ironically, it might be that my computer runs and loads some things faster because it doesn't have an SSD and the way Windows works. Still can't compete with boot times and the like, of course, but my computer is up and running nearly 24/7 anyway.

My computer has been being use for about 6 hours that start up.
I let Windows 7 take care of page fillig, Super fetch or what ever.
Windows 7 is not like the older system like XP. I have found you don't need to do anything except let Windows 7 take care of anything that has to do with memory. I have tinkered with the memory until my face and my monitor turned blue. Letting Windows 7 manage memory works best for me.

Jack that is remarkably low in use and standby RAM usage. Here's mine after about 3 hours uptime with a file shredder program chomping on a 10GB file. I also have Super Fetch enabled and a 2Gb Page File, no hibernation.

Here is my Resource Monitor. PC is idle, with the exception of streaming a show from my PC to my TV via Plex Media Server.

I keep Resource Monitor on my Taskbar and do take a peek every now and again. Just curiosity makes me do that. If you do anything such as a quick scan with MAM or what ever you can watch how Windows 7 movers those little colors around making adjustment all the time. I have all my memory management handled by Windows 7. No hibernation and no sleep. When I'm not using the computer I turn it off. It only takes 30 to 40 sec. to boot. Some people think that booting a computer takes years off the users life; no it doesn't and it cost nothing. Computer system seem to like a boot now and again. That's what my computers tell me.
