Hi all,

I am no longer on Windows 7 but a friend of mine is. I suggested he update to IE10. After the update, everything worked OK except for Facebook. The page loaded correctly but when he scrolled to the bottom, it would freeze the program and eventually close. I had him start IE10 in safe mode and it still did it.

Any ideas?

He uninstalled IE10 for the time being. I didn't have problems in IE10 on Win8, but could they be that different?

Hello Nick,

You might see if using Compatibility View in IE10 for Facebook may help.

Hope this may help, :)

IE 10 is a lot different from IE 9 under the hood. Microsoft might have optimized IE 10 with modern GPU making the older ones untested and buggy. It's just my hunch, but if your friend installs IE 10 again with software rendering and there's no crash, the GPU is the one at fault.
