Use this tutorial to show you how to use your 7 install DVD to access a command prompt:

thanks but windows 7 was already installed when i bought the computer and i cant access the command prompt in any way because i can't access the only account on the computer

For the second and last time:

Offline NT Password & Registry Editor

Click where it says BOOTDISK -download the cd file - it is an .iso - burn it to cd as an image NOT as data. Do not format the cd.

Boot the cd - instructions are on the site linked above.

I have also locked myself out my my own computer, which is dumb because, I just did the password last night, and it asked me to enter it twice, but then it did an update, and I can not access my computer today. I use the same password I always have, and it will not accept it..

or: Trinity Rescue Kit Live CD

I use TRK 3.4, but SPOTMAU is easier to use and more user friendly.
