Can't boot all the way with 4 gb.

Your BIOS may see it but it doesn't mean its not having a problem with it. :) If there is a BIOS update you should definitely give it a shot.

Ha! You know what sucks? The BIOS update won't run because Windows 7 isn't recognized by the BIOS Updater. I set compatibility to Vista and tried it again anyway (which was probably dangerous :p) but it didn't work either.

I guess I'm screwed as far as the BIOS update goes, at least until Win 7 is publicly released to the masses and Dell provides update for that PC (if they do).

I couldn't get the .bin file or whatever it is itself to try it through the BIOS, if that's even an available option. Poking through there earlier, I don't actually remember seeing a BIOS Update screen. I bet doing it through Windows is the only way.

Though, I say all that and I have no proof the BIOS is the problem anyway. It might be something else. I'll keep digging around and may eventually find something, you never know.

If there's an option in the BIOS to set the amount of shared memory of the graphics card, set it to 128mb, or 64mb. (try both)

Look for new graphics drivers.
On shared memory systems, occasionally more than 3GB can give problems.

There are bios voltage and memory settings adjustments for this type of problem.

But if you don't try to adjust the memory and voltage settings in bios nothing will change I can promise you that.

Thats what those adjustments are for. ;)
