i hate the fact that i have only 1 pc for my work and for my research with new builds. So it becomes a pain for me to reinstall everything again. I will now stick with the build 7600 for some more time.

For Win 7, why not just put in another HDD? They're cheap enough...

its worth it only if you get this build number Windows 7600.16385. 84 doesnt hack it with ie8. Just keeps shutting down on you. If you want to upgrade go to cversion.ini in the source folder and change it to 7100. then burn it. You will be able to upgrade but be warned MS recomends that you do a clean install. Hope this helps'Bob:D

I got 7600.16385 and my cversion.ini is: [HostBuild] MinClient=7233.0 MinServer=7100.0 I tried to update over 7201 and he wouldn't let me, something about "evaluation copy". All my storage is on USB, and he won't go there either. Debating about formatting 7201 partition, but its only 16 gig and 7201 is lots of fun for now and all my stuff works. Plus, its good to Jun 2010. 7600.16385 only 120 days, Nov 2009. So I put Ultimate in MS VPC today, AOK. Think I'll try Professional, Home Premium, Home Basic, and Starter in their own little cages too. That 'Starter' looks interesting - how 'bare-bones' can it be? When Real RTM comes, maybe pop a 300 gig or two into the 'mainframe'.....

If it's HomeBasic/Premium/Pro/Ultimate on one disk then is has been touched, there are no untouched multi install disks.

Same here. I read something the other day about removing a file before burning to disc that gives the option to choose which version to install.

But if you take it out, it wont be untouched, will it?

Obviously, the point was you could remove it from an untouched disc to give yourself the option of choosing which version you want.
