64 Mbps, sheesh if I had that speed watching 4K videos, I'd run out of a data in a week.

But for some reason on wireless, i get less than 5 mbits but it has a 54mbit connection. Is there something wrong?

Nothing's wrong with your speed if you have a 54 Mbps WiFi connection. The reason for that 25 Mbps speed test on WiFi is due to WiFi protocol overhead. The real life throughput of a given WiFi connection speed is around 50 - 70 % of the theoretical speed indicated by Windows. You can read more here: Wireless Network Speeds - How Fast Is a Wi-Fi Network?

To get all that 30 Mbps speed, use Wireless-N protocol and you should be able to get 72 Mbps or higher theoretical speeds. You need a Wireless-N capable router ( e.g. Netgear WNR-2000) and a PC/device that can operate on Wireless-N.

No I used wired on the test. And also the router does not work with 802.11n. It is 5 years old. Actually, I meant wifi on my android tablet.

I see. Sadly, 25 Mbps actual transfer rate is the max you can get out of Wireless-G. Nevertheless, it's still more than enough for most internet tasks. There's no need to move to N or AC unless you have a NAS storage that you frequently access using WiFi or you do a lot of huge file transfer tasks between PCs connected via WiFi.

Hi there ... All depends on what you are doing if you are just browsing the net your specs are fine .. As regards the speed you are getting .. I do not know how things work in your Country .. But where i am in the UK speeds depend on the package you get from your ISP .. If you are not getting what you are paying for i would contact them ..

I did not get 0ms ping because of Verizon's speed. I think the ping test did not work because of my java being outdated. Ill update soon and get the ping. But I do have a router problem where the LAN ethernet works but there is no connection to the internet. but that's a hardware problem of the router itself.

The Lan connection should be faster if you had that working .. Not always the case though my Wifi is just as fast as the Lan connection ...
