I just came home from overseas to discover my wife tried to modify our custom built computer. I am not sure of the specs off the top of my head. I wiped it out and re-installed windows 7. Now, I get a no driver for the network controller and other device yellow triangle. I have an ASUS mobo and installed the correct drivers for the ethernet(NVIDIA) I spent the better part of 3 hours on the phone with ASUS, and still was unable to accomplish anything. I have tried installing the drivers from the NVIDIA and ASUS websites. I am at a standstill here. If anyone could try to point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. Thank you

Yep, I don`t see any network drivers listed.

Did you use the automatic detection utility ?

I`m assuming you used the driver off the motherboard cd but it still doesn`t work ?

I tried this and still got nothing. it was unable to install the realtek LAN driver because it says the network controller was not found. I have tried to install just about every chipset( i might have missed a few) that i could find in relation to this. I am still unsure of the problem. Thank you very much for the help

Well then, you could always go out and grab a cheap network card from Bestbuy, install it and you`ll be on your way. Then run windows update and it should clear up the driver issue.

I tried that as well. It wont recognize or let me install anything without finding the network controller.

thank you for all of your help. I installed everything as you instructed. The only thing that remains is a hazard triangle next to the network controller in the device manager. I am still unable to connect to the internet.

What do you mean when you say that it isn't finding the network controller? If you install, say, a USB network adapter, you should then be able to get on the internet; you should then be able to run Windows Update, then check the optional/hardware devices. You will surely find a Network Adapter driver listed, and it will certainly be for the internal NIC. I have done this many times, and it has always worked.

When you see problems like this it's best to shut down the machine, unplug the power cord and drain the power by pushing the start button, remove and reinstall any type of PCI/e NIC you have, plug back in and power up the machine then see if Windows can pick up the device.
