windows update did not configure on restart?

Win 7 Pro 32-bit, VSS off (Puran Defrag...).

I temp disabled my AV until restart, and installed todays win update.
On 'Restart Now", win did not configure at all (normal restart)?

The bubble came up saying all updates installed correctly.
After another reboot I ran Check for Updates, and there were none (History was all successful).

After another reboot- I ran All my demand/on-demand AV/Rootkit scans, and they were negative.

Now IE11 is Very slow.

Any suggestions?

After following Jacee request please take note.
I have seen reports that some after market defrag tools will destroy the Windows 7 Update process.
I recommend the Windows 7 built in defrag tool. Of course this is after you have a clean system.

MBam found 4 what? Can you copy and paste the log from MBam back here, please?

MBAM Rootkit beta found/removed 4 rootkits, only after I disabled my KIS2013 AV until Restart.

CCleaner removed the logs that show up in regular MBAM logs long ago (since disabled MBAM CC cleanup).

Download DDS from one of these links:
DDS.com
DDS.pif

• Disable any script blocking protection
• Double click the dds icon to run the tool.
• When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
  1. DDS.txt
  2. Attach.txt <--- will be minimized in the task tray
• Save both reports to your desktop.

Include the contents of both logs in your next post.
The scan will instruct you to post Attach.txt as an attachment.

I have a Macrium Reflect full backup that I'll go back to.
Uninstall Puran/CCleaner..., defrag with Win defrag tool, and try Win Updt again?

I have Restored Win 7 (Macrium Reflect), to a recent Pre-Win Updt , uninstalled Puran, then Activated Win 7 Defrag (not run yet).

Please download TFC by Old Timer TFC - Temp File Cleaner by OldTimer - Geeks to Go Forums and save it to your desktop.
Save any unsaved work. TFC will close ALL open programs including your browser!
Double-click on TFC.exe to run it. If you are using Vista/Windows 7 right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator.
Click the Start button to begin the cleaning process and let it run uninterrupted to completion.
Important! If TFC prompts you to reboot, please do so immediately. If not prompted, manually reboot the machine anyway to ensure a complete clean.


Please tell me if IE is still running slow.

I didn't try TFC yet, but Restored to pre-WinUpdt.
I then did winupdt, Just for all non-.net- Then did .net separately next day (did Not require a Restart on 32-bit, but Did on my 64-bit laptop (restored 64-bit too, and did winupdt the same way?)).

Browsers are now Fast on both computers (another thread mentioned resetting Modem for slowness issue?).
